What's the big deal with dye-sub printing?
The color quality and durability exceeds that of any other printing process on the market today. When the dyes are heated to 400 degrees they turn to a gas and permanently bond with any polyester-based product.
The print will not fade, crack or peel. When used on apparel it will even allow the fabric
to breathe and wick moisture away from the body through the printed image. The most common use of dye-sublimation printing has been on cycling jerseys.
Can you imagine Lance Armstrong riding in a screen printed cycling jersey?
His body would suffocate!
Dye-sublimation printing is ideal for banners, table skirts, tents and other
large format items because you do not have to worry about creasing, cracking
or bending it the wrong way. You can even crumble your dye-sub banner in a ball and it will still look great next time you're ready to use it. Also, its machine washable and won't shrink or fade.
Try that with a vinyl banner.
